About the Course:
The majority of HEO training is conducted on-the-job. This class will help agencies provide more effective OJT for increased performance and safety. It is designed specifically for foremen, supervisors, or managers who are tasked with conducting training for employees who are operators of heavy equipment. The course provides the necessary skills and materials for training, evaluating performance, and testing of operators.

Course Objectives
~ Using a standardized on-the-job (OJT) training method, teach heavy equipment operator skills that produce improved performance and productivity.
~ Administer the OJT training system to document training and work experience for heavy equipment operator trainees.

Instructor

Steve Price is a Heavy Equipment Operator Training Specialist and NCCER Master Trainer with International Training Services (USA). Steve has over 30 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator trainer. He has worked with most of the leading equipment manufacturers on construction and mining projects worldwide. His company is currently provides instruction for two technical college heavy equipment operator training programs in Louisiana, one in Port Allen and the other in Alexandria.

Enrollment, Registration, and Cancellation Policy
Pre-requisite: In order to register, participants must have taken the Roads Scholar #6 course or have signed up for the next offered class (November/December 2014). Participants also need prior approval from a supervisor.

Class size is limited. Register early to ensure yourself a spot! Pre-registration is required one week in advance.

Please Note: After you submit your registration information on-line, you will receive an email stating your registration has been received. That email is NOT a confirmation of course attendance. You will receive a second email soon after with a confirmation of your course attendance status. Please send payment AFTER you receive confirmation.

Registration: $25.00 for municipal or public sector personnel and $50.00 for all others. This fee covers all materials, and lunch.
