LTRC's Local Technical Assistance Program, one of 58 Centers networked throughout the United States, stimulates the progressive transfer of highway technology through training, work force development and technical assistance. A cooperative effort of DOTD, FHWA and LSU, LTAP leverages the expertise and resources of these organizations for the benefit of local transportation and public works agencies. A quarterly newsletter, Technology Exchange, describes current offerings and services. Visit the Contact page in the menu above to find out more or to request special training or assistance.
We invite you to browse through our website and discover the many cost effective (many are free) services we offer to enhance the performance of your organization.
Having facilitated a total of 9 Regional Crash Data Workshops across the state, the Local Road Safety Program (LRSP) continues in the second quarter of 2017 to meet individually with jurisdictions, parishes and municipalities interested in applying for LRSP funding to implement transportation safety projects on the roads that they own.
